Description: Virtual nursing care in the patient setting is rapidly evolving. The role of the nursing professional development (NPD) practitioner is pivotal to the successful implementation and utilization of virtual nurses. Virtual Nursing in Patient Care: Role of the NPD Practitioner is comprised of 6 modules relevant and essential to the NPD practitioner.
Key content includes virtual nursing evolution, care models, the role of the NPD, orientation and onboarding, competency management, regulatory considerations and guidance for NPD department leaders. The course includes an accompanying workbook with standard operating procedures that can be used as templates and is available as a resource to print and incorporate into your practice setting.
Target Audience: Nursing Professional Development practitioners and specialists including unit-based educators, clinical instructors, education coordinators. Nursing Professional Development department leaders.
