Academic-Practice Partnerships: Creative Nursing Student Programs

Description: In this session, we will describe how an academic-practice partnership, facilitated through the Dedicated Education Units (DEU), and Cooperative (Co-op) education strengthens professional preparation while fostering a pathway for future employees of the institution. Additionally, this partnership enhances the clinical education experience providing junior and senior nursing students with valuable, hands-on learning opportunities that bridge theory and practice.

Outcome: 80% of participants will report an increase in knowledge of academic-practice partnership strategies to support student nurses in their transition to practice. 

Continuing Education: Association for Nursing Professional Development is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
